PART 1: MACCABE CORNER

MacCabe Corner was the first stop in our corner country trip. After meeting on the banks of the Murray River we heading off on an amazing journey to the corner, first on the tight tracks and then by boat. It turns out that MacCabe corner is more difficult to get to then most might think.
Make sure if you’re heading to this remote corner you remember this is on private land & no tracks will bring you to the corner.
You need to have access to a boat in order to reach the corner.
Happy travelling

PART 2: BROKEN HILL

After finding MacCabe corner we decided to start our journey North to our next corner, via the dirt. There is so much to see in the outback & on the way we were able to visit the beautiful Menindee Lakes which has recently been affected by drought, but still a gorgeous place to see.

We also visit some of the history of the Burke and Wills expedition, stopping in at their Darling depot, now called the Burke and Wills camp on Lake Pamamaroo.

PART 3: ELDEE STATION

When you head out to Broken Hill there is one place you should definitely put on the overnight list. Eldee Station is the only working sheep and cattle station and farm stay welcoming tourists in the Mundi Mundi Plains/Barrier Ranges region in Outback NSW.

PART 4: CAMERON CORNER

This episode we are heading north along the back roads from Broken Hill. After all no one wants to take the black top when you can play in the dirt.

We find a great camp in the ruins at Milparinka and finish off another corner in Cameron Corner.

PART 5: HADDON CORNER

This is a big one! From Cameron Corner we headed up the Strezelecki Track through the South Australian desert to Innamincka and the Dig Tree, before turning north on the Cordillo Downs road back into QLD.
Reaching Haddon Corner, we then head west to Birdsville, and the Big Red Bash!

PART 7: K1 LINE AND THE RIG ROAD

Taking the K1 line means we’re heading north through the Simmo between the dunes, rather than the traditional East-West journey on the French Line.

We see some awesome sights, beautiful sunsets, and get up to a bit of mischief with some of the gear, just to liven up the journey!

Heading across to Dalhousie, we experience the hot springs and the historic ruins from our early pioneers!
Mt Dare is one of our favourite pubs in all of Australia, and we’re stopping in for a cold one and a drop of fuel, before heading even further west across the Territory to Surveyor General’s Corner on the Gunbarrel Highway!

PART 2: BILLY GOATS BLUFF – AVAILABLE JULY 31 @ 7:30PM!

After rolling the swags out in the snow, we split the convoy – while the vehicles with the trailers take the long way, Leash and Cookie tackle Billy Goats Bluff – the most epic drive in the High Country! Meeting back up at the famous Dargo Hotel, we settle in for a great night of tunes, tales, and a few lemonades!

From Dargo, we head up to the limit of the driveable tracks, trying to get as close to Blue Rag as possible.

We climb over 1000m, before fitting the snow chains and hitting some virgin powder! We boldly go where no 4WD has gone before (at least today!)

Taking the Sth Basalt Ridge line, we’re getting closer to the Blue Rag gate, and the snow is getting DEEP!

Like, 79 chassis deep! Once she’s out, we take a few bets on who will make it – see what happens!

PART 2: LICOLA – PINNACLE LOOKOUT & CAMPING IN THE SNOW

Driving in the snow is an amazing adventure, and we were all so excited about starting in Licola and driving up into the Victorian High Country in search of snow.

Licola is a town in Victoria, located on Licola Road, in the Shire of Wellington, 254 kilometres east of Melbourne.

In 2006, Licola and the surrounding area had a population of 21, & we would guess this has not grown too much since then.

We also get to visit the beautiful Pinnacle Lookout, this is an iconic 4WD destination due to not only the view but also its proximity to Billy Goat Bluff.

Before we tackle Billy Goat Bluff we stop over at Horseyard Flat campground for the night, where we rugged up & got the fire going ready for a cold night camping.
